Uninstalling apps and programs that we no longer need or want is a common task for all PC users, though not always an easy one. Stubborn programs designed to fight being uninstalled, as well as leftover files and tracks left by removed apps may become a headache for anyone using Windows’ standard uninstalling utility. Revo Uninstaller Pro helps you get rid of “any” installed program for good, together with all the leftover files associated to them.
Revo Uninstaller Pro’s look and feel is really comfortable, displaying some very interesting information about the programs installed on your computer and ready to be removed. Far from being a simple uninstaller, this utility is packed up with tools and specific options to clean up your PC from unwanted and unnecessary files. These bonus tools apply mainly to your Windows OS and the Microsoft Office suite of programs (from the 2000 version onwards), which have that annoying tendency to leave tons of leftovers, such as each program’s Documents History, but they also include an autorun manager, a browsers cleaner, and a junk files remover. Another very interesting extra tool allows you to remove any of the Windows apps, which normally come pre-installed on your computer and are not always that easy to get rid of.
Speaking of getting rid of hard-to-find or stubborn programs, probably what makes this Revo tool to stand out from the rest of its competitors is its Forced Uninstall feature. This powerful tool allows you to remove half-installed (or half-uninstalled) programs, remove leftover files left there for no purpose (at least, for no “good” purpose), and locate and uninstall programs that do not even show up on the programs list not even when using Revo Uninstaller Pro to remove them.
Other interesting details that make this tool at least worth trying are the option to create a restore point and a registry backup every time you uninstall a program, the possibility of removing more than one app or program at a time, and its Hunter Mode to hunt down unknown programs on your PC and remove them if necessary. There are many other reasons to use Revo Uninstaller Pro, but I’ll leave those for you to discover. Note, however, that if you wish to try this comprehensive tool, you’ll need to download and install the free version, as the “trial” for the Pro version will ask you for a license number to make it work.
